My name is Chinmayi Achanta, and I am a sophomore Computer Science major! I am from Tampa, FL, and graduated from Middleton High School in 2022. I’d have to say my favorite class here at UCF so far is probably Creativity and Entrepreneurship; I was able to learn so much and really dive into some of my passions! A lot of my professors are great, but one of my favorites would have to be Dr. Steinberg. He made the classes fun and engaging, which can be hard to do sometimes when learning about coding. The WiSTEM program is so amazing, providing a supportive community and allowing you to meet so many great and like-minded people! In my free time, I love playing guitar and spending time with my friends and family. The best piece of advice I can give is to embrace the challenges, stay curious, and, most of all, believe in yourself!
