Katrina Adewale
My name is Katrina Adewale and I am a senior at UCF studying Computer Science with a minor in Intelligent Robotics Systems. I graduated from the Bolles School in Jacksonville. One of my favorite classes here at UCF was Entrepreneurships for Defense (EGN 4630) led by Dr. Heinrich and Dr. Rodriguez. I loved it because I was paired with likeminded students to help solve real problems PTSD patients deal with today, combing virtual reality with exposure therapy.
I decided to get involved with STEM Ambassador program because I love advocating and educating others on the importance of STEM. I believe that when you help others grow, you grow as well, so this is perfect for me. I hope to encourage others to be more confident and pursue their passions and keep learning. It is important to stay curious and it is okay to be scared, you do not have to wait till you are “ready”, do it scared and be brave.
Outside of school I love to travel with friends, read, dance, and making cool art.
