Kayley Brkljacic
Hi there! My name is Kayley Brkljacic! I am a fifth-year senior here at UCF studying Industrial Engineering with a certificate in Theme Park and Attraction Management. I graduated from East Lake High School and have lived in Oldsmar, Florida my whole life.
The coolest part about my major is the variety of classes we get to take. One of my favorites so far has been Quality Engineering with Jorge, where my project group was able to perform a real quality assessment of a pizza restaurant. Other classes focusing on areas like manufacturing, human engineering, and simulation make for a wide range of topics I’ve been able to learn so much about.
I decided to join STEM ambassadors to help educate young students about all of the STEM opportunities available. How students learn about STEM is so impactful, and I hope to be part of the reason they can grow to love it. My biggest piece of advice for any future STEM student is to not be afraid to ask for help! Classes can be tough but there’s no need to struggle alone. There are so many resources available to help you, you just have to take advantage of them!
Outside of class you can find me at the theme parks, both for work and for fun. I’m a big fan of reading by the pool, visiting the beach when I can, and hosting movie nights with my friends!
