Hannah Jefferson
Hi! My name is Hannah Jefferson and I’m a junior here at UCF majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I transferred here in the spring with my Associates of Arts degree from Eastern Florida State College and graduated from West Shore Jr/Sr. High School in Melbourne.
I was fortunate enough to grow up on the space coast seeing rocket and shuttle launches and going to schools where I was never told I couldn’t do something. Since my dad is an aerospace engineer I got a closer look at what I could do and was truly inspired by the industry before I knew what it really about. I wanted to become a STEM ambassador because I want to share my passion for what I will soon be doing. Through this program, I’d like to be able to show at least one person that engineering is something they’d like to do too.
If I could give one piece of advice to someone it would be to make sure that whatever you do, be passionate about it! Having a true love and interest for what you’re studying will be it’s own motivation for you to succeed, even when it gets hard, and will lead you to a job that you will enjoy.
