Jessica Pereira

My name is Jessica Pereira and I am a Biomedical Sciences major.  I am a fourth year student however this is my first year at UCF.  In 2012 I graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida.  My favorite class is Social Psychology taught by Dr. Eisele.  Dr. Eisele is not afraid to break barriers to reach students in truly understanding sensitive and controversial topics while doing so in such a respectful and educational way.  I decided to become a STEM major to enlighten and encourage other students to pursue STEM careers.  I would like to support and educate others on how to map a template of a successful career in the STEM field.  The most frightening thing about STEM fields is not knowing how to get started and what to do to succeed.  As a STEM Ambassador it is my ultimate goal to breakdown these fears and hesitations.  On my spare time I enjoy working out and going to the beach.
