Hi, I am Natesha Ramdhani! I am currently a sophomore at UCF, with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Math. I attended Timber Creek High School, where I was a part of Project Lead The Way. In this program, I discovered my love for digital logic design in circuits and learned how intriguing it can be to understand the circuits that power and control devices.

My favorite class at UCF so far has been Calculus III with Dr. Yue (Nick) Zhao. I have always loved math, but this class was my first look into multivariable calculus in spaces past the typical 2D plane. Being able to tie increasingly abstract shapes in with calculus techniques I had already learned opened a whole new world of excitement.

Somehow, I also have a life outside of schoolwork! I have been training in martial arts for 14 years. I am now a Sensei and hold the rank of Sandan, or third degree black belt in Chito-Ryu. My favorite part of martial arts is training in katas (forms) and sword because it helps center me in addition to providing a great workout. I have been playing cello for about 7 years and studied Bharatanatyam (indian classical dance) and Bollywood dance for 9 years. I also love listening to music and going on adventures with my friends.

There have been many people in my life who had significant roles in encouraging my drive and passion for STEM. They showed me that it is not only possible to be successful in STEM, but to enjoy doing it as well. As a STEM Ambassador, I have the opportunity to give back by passing on the lessons my own mentors and show another generation how great a career in STEM can be.

Future STEM students: the world of STEM welcomes you! In this challenging but incredibly rewarding field, you can make a difference in the world using science, math, engineering, or countless other technological fields. I want you to know that you have the power to achieve your goals and aspirations. Most of all, I want you to know the value of a strong support network; people you can speak with to provide new perspectives and motivate you to be successful. Together, we can all work to make the world a better place!
