Madysn Roth

Hello! My name is Madysn Roth and I am a senior majoring in Biotechnology and minoring in Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare Quality and Revenue Management, and Health Information Management. I graduated from Sheridan Technical High School, where I also received a certification in Medical Coding and Billing.

My favorite class (so far) is Experimental Molecular Cell Biology. Dr. King is an amazing professor who focuses on teaching not just the information, but also how to think with a critical and experimental mindset, which is a must for anyone looking to be involved in research! One of my favorite UCF experiences was volunteering and educating others at the Orlando Science Center with the Kolpashchikov lab from UCF.

I am honored to be a STEM Ambassador – I love STEM education, fostering others’ love for STEM, and helping others reach their potential! I have been a tutor for over five years, and I look forward to sharing information and passion for STEM through this program.

My advice to any future STEM students is twofold: First: explore! You never know if you will find your new passion unless you try new things. Second, your path will change; embrace it. New opportunities and scientific discoveries are being made all the time, you never know which you may fall in love with.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, woodworking, and going to Universal. I’m also passionate about everything medical, so you can often find me volunteering or reading up on the newest medical discoveries.
