Emily Loynaz
Hi there! My name is Emily Loynaz and I am majoring in Biology with a Pre Health Track at UCF. I also have a minor in Medical Anthropology and am a current junior. I graduated high school at Archbishop Mccarthy in Southwest Ranches in Broward County. My favorite class I have taken throughout my undergrad is Women’s Mental Health because the class promotes equity and truly focuses on the mental struggles women go through throughout important stages of their life. It was an overall 10/10 class with an amazing professor and fascinating course topics. I wanted to join the STEM Ambassador Program because I wanted to make a difference within my community and show to others how fascinating STEM truly is. My main goal joining this program is to promote equality for all people, showing that anyone can become a STEM major and achieve success, no matter who you are. For future STEM students, my main message for you is to believe in yourself that you can be successful in class. Many STEM classes may feel difficult and/or have a bad reputation. However, you have to trust yourself and know that you are able to succeed in those classes. Also, do not let those difficult classes take away from your hobbies. It is important to have a balance between school, work, and other activities to be well rounded mentally. For example, outside of my STEM classes, I like to make jewelry and make decoden jewelry boxes and sell them for my small business. I love playing video games, especially Stardew Valley and Minecraft. I also love to read, listen to music, and fashion.
